The alleged bomb blast today the 2nd of June 2020 in Yaounde is a clear indication that the level of insecurity is on the rise in Cameroon, amidst the Anglophone Crisis, Bokoharam insurgency in the Far North Region of Cameroon and COVID-19. There is need for a ceased fire in corroboration to the United Nations Secretary General, Antonio Guterres’ wish.

The recent explosion is happening after two other explosions have been reported in the same city. Reports says that two people are injured while the police authorities have been stationed in the area to calm down the tension

Reports from the area where the incident happened also suggest that it could be an explosion of a gas bottle. It is worthy to note that since the last two explosions in the area, police authorities have reportedly harassed Anglophones in Yaounde.
