Human Rights and Legal Research Centre

Strategic Communications for Development

About

Human Rights and Legal Research Centre herein after referred to as HRLRC is an online platform with the mission to publish legal/related papers, academic theses, and advocating for the protection of human rights, without furthering any partisan political agenda, religious agenda or ethnicity differences. This podium was created out of anxiety to advocate for the protection and respect of human rights and aiding in research. This platform was founded by Berinyuy Cajetan and christened as “Societal Issues and Legality” in 2018 and was later revised in 2019 and renamed Human Rights and Legal Research Centre.

With the intention of advocating for the respect of human rights, the founder was also interested in publishing legal papers and other related papers in that regard. This was because he studied law at the University of Buea-Cameroon and it was very difficult for him to carry out legal research in the digital age. Consulting other academic luminaries, Berinyuy Cajetan discovered that they have faced the same problem when doing research in the country. As a result of these consultations, He, in the early 2020 developed and rebrand the Human Rights and Legal Research Centre to reflect deeply into research topics done by students in various universities across the country.
