Funding opportunities for NGOs in Cameroon: win up to 500 – 2000 Can$ for Technical & Financial Support

LUKMEF Africa Civil Society Development Centre ( LACSODEC) is inviting Civil Society Organisations in Cameroon participate in a self assessment process wherein based on on the outcomes of the assessment, successful CSOs will be supported. A vibrant Civil Society with strengthened institutional/operational capacity is key in promoting and sustaining local development, upholding human rights, democracy, Peace, responding to humanitarian needs and above all supporting national governments towards achieving the sustainable development goals.
Citizenship participation in local governance requires ongoing dialogue and sustained capacity building through an established self supporting mechanism. This is being achieved through the establishment of the LUKMEF Africa Civil Society Development Centre ( LACSODEC) that goes operational in January 2022. In recognition and support of the initiative, the Canadian Embassy in Cameroon is investing in content development and delivery through the following:
(1) Mapping and the development of a CSO database in Cameroon
(2) Institutional and operational support through strategic training and tools development for CSO
(3) Through the LUKMEF small grants program provide small grants( 500 – 2000 CAD) to selected CSOs towards strengthening their internal governance systems, operational performance and access to additional national and external funding for programs and projects.
The current self assessment is to identify institutional and operational needs of CSO towards log term support within the mandate of LACSODEC. The form is divided into 11 sections and will require only 15-25 minutes to complete.
Based on the outcome of assessments, the CSOs will be categorised into 11 categories and support systems will be delivered based on the identified needs of each category. PLease NOTE that it is to your organization’s advantage if the information provided is the true picture of your organisation. Ongoing technical, material, trainings and financial support will be based on the true picture of the institutional and operational gaps and strengths of the organisation.
