Doctors Without Borders accused of collaborating with Ambazonian fighters by the Cameroon government
3 min readThe Cameroon Ministry of Defense have in a communique accused Doctors Without Borders of collaborating with separatist fighters in the South West Region of Cameroon.
it is worthy to note that earlier this year in August 2021, the Cameroon government suspended the Doctors Without Borders from operating in the North West Region and till today they have not regained their
The Ministry of Defence in their communique published on 27 December 2021 and circulated online narrated that (as Published)
In the afternoon of December 25, 2021, a patrol of the TINTO Territorial Gendarmerie Brigade, in the UPPER-BAYANG Sub-division, MANYU Division, SOUTH-WEST Region, had a clash, in a place called Tinto II, with two dangerous terrorists, the so-called MBU Princely TABE alias “general MOVING STAR” and BESONG Eugene alias “general PA LAMPAT”, during a marking operation to complete the preparations for the attack on this brigade, scheduled the same day. Seriously wounded during the clash, the two scoundrels took refuge in the NTENMBANG forest.”
It is from this position that, in the early morning of December 26, 2021, they contacted Mr. KALE MAYUR MILAN, born on January 30, 1986 in NAGUR, of Indian nationality and in charge of the DOCTORS WITHOUT BORDERS branch in Mamfe. (via mobile phone number 672858153), to negotiate their exfiltration from the Manyu Division from ASHUM village to an accessible health centre.

This is how the TOYOTA BJ type ambulance, registration number IT 22791 and driven by a certain ASHU Dabinash Godlove, born on April 6, 1981 in Bassa Njikwa, with nurse MEWOUO Marguerite Gerzande on board, will be dispatched to ASHUM to exfiltrate these terrorists. When the ambulance arrived ASHUM, one of the injured, BESONG Eugene alias PA LAMPAT, who succumbed to his injuries, had already been buried by his accomplices in the Ntenmbang forest. The survivor, MBU Princely TABE alias “general MOVING STAR”, will be immediately taken care of by the team of Doctors without Borders and for them to be evacuated to the Manyemen Presbyterian Medical Institutions, commonly known as Manyemen Annex, in the NGUTI Sub-division, Kupe-Manengouba Division, South-West Region.
It is worth highlighting that at no time during this exfiltration operation did the Doctors without Borders notify the MANYU Administrative Authorities, in accordance with the operational protocols in force validated by mutual agreement between the parties.
DOCTORS without BORDERS thus deliberately engaged in a clandestine operation to exfiltrate and cover terrorists, despite repeated warnings from the Cameroonian authorities.
The fugitive and his Doctors without Borders accomplices will be stopped at the NGUTI checkpoint at about 9a.m. on Sunday, December 26, 2021. After the usual identification procedures, first aid will be provided to the terrorist MBU Princely TABE alias “general MOVING STAR” by elements of the 6th Rapid Intervention Battalion infirmary of NGUTI, before being painstakingly transferred by the Defence and Security Forces to the MAMFE district hospital, for appropriate medical care
Broaching from preliminary findings of the current investigation, it emerges that the on-board nurse, madam MEWOUO Marguerite, would have, with the cover of local Doctors without Borders officials, assembled from scratch a false evacuation sheet with the patient’s name “NDIP Ben”. The same file declared the patient not injured by bullets and rather coming from Mamfe. In addition, the various medical documents of the patient do not bear any signature.
It is thus established that DOCTORS WITHOUT BORDERS maintain close relations with the terrorists operating in the South-West Region, and are seemingly engaging just enough strategies to facilitate their bloodthirsty actions on the ground.
For a final return to peace, it is high time we clearly address the need for the presence of this NGO in the regions experiencing security crisis in Cameroon.
