G7 members to severely sanction Russia over Ukraine invasion, says Joe Biden
1 min readOn 24 February 2022, President Biden of the United State during a press conference while speaking about the Russia invasions said “Putin is the aggressor, Putin chose this war.” This aggression cannot go unanswered. America stands up to bullies.” Biden said. He also added that four major Russian banks will be sanctioned.
He also said that the U.S. and G7 member were were in full agreement on actions against Russia’s currency, banks that hold over 1 trillion, cutting off Russian institutions from U.S. financial institutions, and assets of four other banks will be frozen. Names of Russian elites and family members to be sanctioned will be announced.
As stated by the white House, U.S. Will be adding at least 8000 soldiers to support NATO members in Europe.
