Cameroon: Traditional leader of Esu killed in the North West

On 9 March 2022, Kum Achou Kawzuh Albert Chi,of Eau, in MENCHUM DIVISION of the North West Region of Cameroon was killed by gun persons.
He was killed while coming back from back from Weh Village where he went to partake in the installation of a new Fon.
According to Cameroon News Agency, the fon and his wife were attacked by herdsmen. The Fon and the first wife died while the second wife was injured in the attack by armed herdsmen.
The angry youths in Esu have reportedly burnt the Mosque following the murder of the Fon of Esu and his wife.
