Globe Watch Foundation provides personal protective equipment to sanitation workers in Yaoundé

On 20 March 2022 at OBILI, a locality in Yaoundé, the political capital of Cameroon, Global Watch Foundation distributed hundreds of Personal Protective Equipment to members of the private and public sanitation personnel.
Since the outbreak and the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic to Cameroon, members of sanitation companies have grossly been affected and have become more vulnerable. As a Civil society organisation operating in Cameroon, Globe Watch Foundation has been putting in efforts to address this problem through education/sensitization on the importance of hygiene especially in times of COVID-19 and the provision of protective equipment to this vulnerable group.
According to the Chief Executive Officer, Mr LUKONG usheno kiven, the project targeted 1000 vulnerable sanitary personnel. He also reiterated that the donations will improve the health conditions of this vulnerable persons in times of COVID-19 and that the gesture will also create awareness on the importance of hygiene, especially during this global pandemic
This project which aims at supporting vulnerable private and public sanitary personnel with personal protective equipment, including boats, hand gloves, and detergents during the COVID-19 pandemic was funded by Global Youth Mobilisation.
Globe Watch Foundation is a youth-led apolitical and non-profit Nongovernmental organization operating in Cameroon with its headquarters in Yaoundé. The organisation’s objectives are to promote human rights education, social cohesion and environmental protection to improve livelihood for children, women, girls, and youths. Recently the organisation have been more focused on addressing climate change at the local level and leading climate action in local communities through community mobilisation in Cameroon.
Berinyuy Cajetan is the founder and publisher of Human Rights and Legal Research Centre (HRLRC) since 2017. He has intensive experience in strategic communications for Civil Society Organizations, campaign and advocacy, and social issues. He has an intensive experiencing in human rights monitoring, documentation and reporting.
