The kidnapping and subsequent killing of Martinez Zogo, a journalist and station manager of Amplitude FM, in Yaoundé, Centre Region of Cameroon is unacceptable. On 22 January 2023, the body of Martinez Zogo was found along the Soa stretch of road after unidentified persons kidnapped him. The Human Rights and Legal Research Centre join other Media organizations to demand justice for the slain journalist and urge the Cameroon government to quickly investigate and bring before the law the perpetrators of such a gruesome act. The attack against Journalists in Cameroon must stop.
