Anglophone Crisis: Barrister Agbor Balla urges law makers from the North West and South West Regions to met and speak the reality to the President of Cameroon
2 min readOn his official Facebook page, Barrister Agbor Nkongho, popularly known as Barrister Agbor Balla has urged the law makers (parliamentarians and Senators) of the North West and South West Regions of Cameroon to met and discuss with President in relation to the ongoing armed conflict in the regions. The frontline human rights activist and founder of the Centre for Human Rights and Democracy in Africa reiterated he thinks that ‘it is high time all Parliamentarians and Senators of the North West and South West Regions met the President of the Republic.‘
He further question if the parliamentarians are truly the representative of the people as they have been silent for too long while the killings and destruction of civilian property are taking place. ‘If they are truly our representatives, it is incumbent on them to speak on our behalf with the President to honestly give him a true picture of the reality on the ground.’
In the conclusion of his three paragraph appeal to the law makers, he lamented that the suffering population of the North West and South West Regions need justice and an end to the ongoing mayhem. ‘Our people need peace, our people need justice, our people need an end to this mayhem...The time is NOW!’
