Presidency of the Elected President
Yaoundé, November 22, 2025
COMMUNIQUE
The Spokesperson of the Elected President of the Republic
Position of the Elected President on Regional Elections:
The Cameroonian people have unequivocally placed the Elected President Issa Tchiroma Bakary at the head of the nation and demand recognition of the verdict of the ballot box.
Therefore, no electoral process can be legitimate as the Elected President has clearly expressed his intention to immediately reform the electoral code and overhaul the supervisory institutions such as ELECAM and the Constitutional Council.
The current regional councilors and the manner in which they are elected do not correspond to the desire for autonomy demanded by the people.
The upcoming regional elections therefore have no lasting significance. They are merely another demonstration of why we should uphold the will of the sovereign people who voted for the Elected President by a clear majority.
In light of the aforementioned points, the CNSF (Cameroon National Salvation Front) will not participate in the upcoming elections as long as the will of the people is not executed.
