Background
Reach Out is a women-led and youth-focused NGO with more than 23 years of experience in Health, Human rights, and Wealth creation related activities. Reach Out in anticipation of upcoming projects is launching recruitment for a Supply Chain Office.
Purpose
The Supply Chain Officer is responsible for the coordination, management, and supervision of Reach Out’s logistics operations. The Officer will work closely with all departments to ensure the efficient and effective delivery of goods and equipment, to optimize service quality and cost-effectiveness, and to meet the needs of the Project.
Specific Responsibilities:
Respond to procurement requests from project staff related to supplies, materials, and other terms for project beneficiaries and activities.
- Ensure that all project-related procurements are carried out under Reach Out and the Funder specific policies and procedures.
- Lead the procurement of all necessary items for the project and offices.
- Ensure that all materials purchased are of appropriate quality and price and are timely delivered.
- Ensure and coordinate the safe and regular supply of drugs and material to CHWs through their DCSOs and to the Mobile clinic teams through the Regional field supervisors.
- Develop all required procurement documentation and impeccably maintain records and files.
- Prepare payment requests and collect all needed documents to facilitate payment submission.
- Provide all needed information and documents to finance as per Reach Out’s and The Funders policies and procedures.
- Coordinate with the Finance Department to make sure the payments are delivered to the suppliers.
- Conducting a regular market survey for commonly purchased goods and services.
- Coordinate the transportation of procured items for Mobile clinics to the destined Health District.
- Be an integral part of the procurement team and support all members under the supervision of the Project Manager
- Update relevant staff about the status of his/her request and delivery and maintain regular contact with supervisor on matters of procurement.
- Assist in updating the Purchase Request Tracking Sheet (PRTS) and other procurement Tracking Sheets regularly.
- Keep good track of suppliers performance and maintain a database of good and reliable suppliers for different categories of supplies, service, and goods
- Maintain an accurate and organized filing system for both hard and soft copies.
- Perform other duties as required by the Senior Supply Chain Officer and the Procurement Manager.

Qualifications
- University Degree in Business Management, Logistics, Supply Chain, Procurement, or any other related field.
- Minimum of 2year professional experience in procurement preferably with an NGO.
- Very good command of English writing and speaking.
- Good report writing skills
- Able to work under pressure, able to multitask, excellent team player, and able to work in a multinational environment.
