In summary, the priority problem that the fund raising hope to address is the eradicaton of poverty which has been strictly cosmetic across most of sub-Saharan Africa. The goal is to make beneficiaries self-reliant so they can contribute positively to the development of their communities.
The Bright Light Projects is known for building capacities of persons with vulnerabilities and with more focus on vocational training. They recently launched “Young Men Entrepreneurship” (YME) at its headquarters office in the city of Bamenda in the northwest region of Cameroon and they are currently implementing the Girls Shall Rise training program in Cameroon and Sierra Leone. These programs corroborate the organization’s core value which is tilted towards rebuilding broken communities and providing sustainable humanitarian services as a way to sustainability in our communities.
The Bright Light Projects Empowerment Centre will provide courses that focuses on the skills development taking into consideration the job market. Apart from direct skills like tailoring, computer skills, etc. some of the areas the beneficiaries will gain knowledge in as highlighted by the Bright Light Projects are business management, STEM education, and Business development including marketing, financial management, and networking.
