The event brought together more than 80 youth leaders from Buea, who were drawn from different localities and civil society organizations. During the event, opportunities available for youths to explore in relation to the promotion of peace were at the center of discussion. Challenges were equally identified and recommendations made.

Facilitated by Mr. Bochum Samuel who is the founder and executive director of YAPCEC, the discussions were so engaging as participants actively participated through contributions and questions. Among the challenges identified, during the events, the facilitators paid more attention to the lack of Trust and Unreliable Youth Involvement, Lack of Opportunities, Gender Bias, Lack of Knowledge About Peace, Lack of Funds or Resources, etc. During the event, some opportunities were identified as; affordable communication, empowerment, the subsidization of school fees etc.
