Cameroonian Youth Leader asked youths to embrace peace agenda as a culture in his New Year advice

2 min read

Dear friends, collaborators, thank you all for your unwavering support throughout 2022. I sincerely appreciate your encouragement in the course of the year marked by several challenges.

For the past 5years, I have pushed forward an agenda of seeing young people take ownership of their actions and contribute in building a just and prosperous society grounded on the virtues of peace, love and unity. I believe we constitute more than 64% of the population, and thus should be seen at the forefront driving developmental projects in our communities. However, some have taken a step behind and often shy away from making use of the little opportunities we are presented with. I hope we change that in 2023, as we must continue building capacity through community projects, trainings and other useful channels.

As we conclude 2022, I want you to know that the future of our country is in our hands. We must therefore seize this opportunity to show that we are ready to contribute in the growth of our country. That is by engaging in activities that brings out the best in us. This can either be through education, arts, science and technology, politics or civil society. I have no doubt that we can do it, and I believe 2023 will be the year where young people take up major positions of authority in the country. We must thus continue to be law abiding citizens as we continue to seek solutions to the very many challenges facing our beloved Fatherland Cameroon.

Once again, thank you all for standing by me this year 2022, and helping me move a step forward. I hope to be the responsible youth leader that I have always been. My aspirations are to see every young person excel and be able to express themselves through different platforms freely and responsibly.

Happy new year 2023.

Thank you all, God bless Cameroon.
