Duties
- Serve as Deputy Motor Pool Supervisor.
- Supervise Dispatcher in the GSO Motor Pool (MTP) section.
- Assist the Motor Pool Supervisor by scheduling Drivers and make sure that they meet required expectations as per internal rules and regulations.
- Assist the Motor Pool Dispatcher by completing Motor Pool requests (scheduling drivers and vehicles), , closing out vehicle request in FMIS and supporting other administrative duties.
- Act as the Motor Pool Supervisor in their absence.
- Serve as alternate Smith Driving instructor.
- Focus on providing excellent customer service, and communicate proactively with all customers, especially regarding scheduling changes
- Identify and implement process improvements that positively impact customer and employee experience
Qualifications and Evaluations
Requirements:
All selected candidates must be able to obtain and hold a:
- security certificate; or
- security clearance.
All selected candidates will be subject to a background investigation and may be subject to a pre-employment medical exam.
Selected candidate must be able to begin working within a reasonable period of time per the local labor law upon receipt of agency authorization and/or clearances/certifications or their candidacy may end.Education Requirements:
Two years of college or university studies is required.

Experience:
- At least two years of Dispatching experience in transport or logistics including chauffeuring skills;
- At least six months of supervisory experience is required.
Language: Good Working Knowledge (speaking, reading and writing) in English and French is required. This may be tested.
Job Knowledge:
- Must have a good knowledge of motor vehicle operation, safety, automotive maintenance cycle.
- Must know host country (Cameroonian) traffic regulations.
- Must know many local government and private offices and be familiar with their protocol for arriving guests.
- Must be capable of planning and managing a wide variety of logistical operations and using computer software to efficiently complete scheduling tasks
Skills And Abilities:
- Must have the ability to supervise a team and give work guidance.
- Must have a valid host country category B driver’s license.
- Level I (less than 40 wpm) typing is required.
- Must be computer literate and use the following packages: MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook and Power Point.
- Must be able to work under pressure serving in a multicultural environment.
- Must have good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Must be able to work with minimal supervision and to take initiative on all tasks and identifying customer experience improvements.

SALARY: The annual gross salary includes: the Basic Rate, the Miscellaneous Benefits Allowance, and the End-of-the-Year Bonus. Seniority Allowance is paid in accordance with local labor law. A Cashier allowance is paid for eligible positions.
MEDICAL BENEFITS: The U.S. Mission in Yaounde directly reimburse eligible employees for covered medical expenses incurred for them and/or eligible dependents, subject to the stated limits of the Local Compensation Plan.
LEAVE BENEFITS: Subject to the stated limits and rules of the Local Compensation Plan, employees are entitled to the following types of leaves: Annual Leave, Sick Leave, Maternity Leave, Special Leave.
HOLIDAYS: The U.S. Mission in Yaounde and the Embassy Branch Office in Douala observe American and Cameroonian public holidays, about 19 holidays per year.
