Sub: BID FOR ANIMATED VIDEO PRODUCTION SERVICES
The Centre for Human Rights and Democracy in Africa (CHRDA), in partnership with the Civil Peace Service (CPS-GIZ), invites qualified Animated Video Production Experts/Studios to submit bids for the production of youth-friendly animated videos. This call is within the framework of the project: “Engaging Young People in Combating Hate Speech and Hate-Speech-Fueled Election Violence in the 2025 Presidential Election in Buea, Southwest Region of Cameroon.”
Objective of the Assignment
The selected service provider will produce three (3) animated videos aimed at:
- Raising awareness on hate speech and its consequences
- Promoting peaceful political participation among young people
- Countering misinformation, disinformation, and hate speech during and beyond the election period
- Encouraging dialogue, tolerance, and non-violent civic engagement
The videos will be disseminated through social media platforms and community digital networks.
Scope of Work
The animated video production expert will be responsible for:
- Concept development and scriptwriting (in collaboration with CHRDA)
- Storyboarding and animation production
- Voice-over recording and sound design (English and/or Pidgin as required)
- Subtitling where necessary
- Delivery of final videos in formats suitable for social media dissemination
- Incorporation of CHRDA and CPS-GIZ branding guidelines
Required Profile
The service provider must:
- Have proven experience in animated video production and digital storytelling
- Demonstrate prior work on social issues, civic education, peacebuilding, or youth engagement (preferred)
- Provide a portfolio or links to previous animated video productions
- Have capacity to deliver within agreed timelines
- Be legally registered with relevant local authorities
Contents of the Bid Application
Bids must include:
1. Signed application letter (typed/printed, preferably on letterhead)
2. Company or individual business registration certificate
3. Portfolio/sample links of previous animation work
4. Technical proposal outlining concept approach and production methodology
5. Financial proposal (VAT inclusive, if applicable)
6. Bank attestation.
7. References from previous clients or organizations
8. Copy of National ID card of manager/lead expert
Submission Deadline: Friday 9th, January 2026 and no later than 3:00 PM. Note that late submissions will not be accepted.
