GCE Board Opens Online Applications for 2026 Secretariat Workers: No Manual or Physical Applications will be accepted

Buea, Cameroon -30 June 2026: The Transition Management Team (TMT) of the GCE Board has announced the commencement of applications for secretariat work in preparation for the marking of the 2026 GCE Board Examinations.

According to an official notice issued on 30 June 2026, the online application process opens on Thursday, 2 July 2026, and closes on Thursday, 9 July 2026, at midnight. Interested applicants are encouraged to submit their applications within the stipulated period, as late submissions will not be considered.

Online Application Only

The GCE Board has emphasized that all applications must be submitted exclusively online through the official application portal at www.gcepay.cm. Applicants are required to visit the website, select the “Secretariat Workers” option, and complete the application process as instructed. No manual or physical applications will be accepted.

Required Documents

Applicants must upload clear electronic copies of the following documents:

  • National Identity Card
  • Highest academic qualification

The Board advises applicants to ensure that all uploaded documents are legible to facilitate the screening process.

Application Fee

Each applicant is required to pay a total of 2,500 FCFA, broken down as follows:

  • 1,000 FCFA – Application fee
  • 1,500 FCFA – Fiscal Stamp

Payments will be accepted only through MTN Mobile Money, and applicants should keep their payment receipts for future reference.

Requirements for Successful Applicants

Candidates selected for secretariat duties will be required to present:

  • Their MTN Mobile Money payment receipt; and
  • Original or supporting copies of all documents submitted during the online application process

These documents will be verified upon arrival at the designated marking centres.

Important Reminder

The Transition Management Team has stressed that only individuals who complete the online application process within the specified period will be considered for recruitment. Anyone who fails to apply online will not be recruited for the 2026 GCE Board Examination marking exercise.

Prospective applicants are therefore encouraged to complete their applications early to avoid last-minute technical difficulties before the deadline of 9 July 2026 at midnight.
