“Speak truth to power”, Solve the Anglophone problem in Cameroon and the Anglophone crisis will be solved

4 min read

Only an international mediator and not the prime minister of Cameroon can chair the dialogue process between the Southern Cameroons and the government of Cameroon. The definition of an inclusive dialogue between the Cameroon government and the people of Southern Cameroons cannot be normalize to a mere social ills other regions in the country are facing. Normalizing and likening the Anglophone problem which has aggravated into crisis today to social ills faced by other regions of Cameroon means not acknowledging the Anglophone problem. Speak truth to power and the Anglophone problem will be solve

Nobody, both within the national and international community lacks knowledge of what is happening in Cameroon today as well as does not know the root causes of the Anglophone problem and what the solution is. There may be calm today with the use of military force, but the generation to come may not stand the consequences of this problem and may preferred not to take it to another generations and that will be bigger than what we are facing today and the United Nations may begin to look for other suitable name to label to the consequences of what may happen in future if this problem is not solve now. It is better for the United Nations to intervene and solve the crisis now because the crisis cannot be solve within the country. We love justice because peace does not stand on its own but it is the consequence of justice. And if today peace is force on a people, we are laying a very fake foundation of peace because peace is automatic and not force on a people in detriment of justice. Hence, speak truth to power and the Anglophone problem will be solve

Justice will come and reign supreme when we as brothers and sisters who understand each other’s interest will visit the 1961 Federal constitution of Cameroon, that is our destiny and our destiny lies there and nobody will not erase that. We are two in one and we will live together if we quickly tap from our destiny as brothers and sisters. But if we fail today, what I see is separation and nothing else. Therefore, speak truth to power and the Anglophone problem will be solve

If our very own founders of this unity between the Southern Cameroons and La Republic Du Cameroun were so egoistic and inhuman as some of our leaders has become today, I will tell you, this unity could have not happen in the first place. It is better we go back to the 1961 agreement and live as one but two separate states as it was. Speak truth to power and the Anglophone problem will be solve

Failure to go back to 1961 agreement means, hurting the next generation, making our children who have not been to school for three years seek avenge in future, means letting our relatives whose brothers and sisters have been killed retaliate in future, means hurting those whose villages have been burnt and reduce to nothing and finally means hurting the population of more than 6000,000 in all forms of violations and abuses. Speak truth to power and the Anglophone problem will be solve

There may be calm today with the use of military force, but when these people will rise with anger and to seek vengeance nobody will stop them even the world. Thus, speak truth to power and the Anglophone problem will be solve

We implore the international community to intervene and solve the Anglophone problem and the Anglophone crisis will be solve

We stand with Herman Cohen words, US Assistant Secretary of State for African Affairs, he said on his tweeter page “By offering a national dialogue to end violence, Cameroon’s Biya has, for the first time, recognized the legitimacy of the Anglophone rebels who are fighting for political separation,” “Believe that an international mediator, preferably from the US, would expedite end of violence” it will be better if the world police, the United states of America intervene solve the Anglophone problem.
