How can Governor assure citizens with security and guarded by well armed military at the same time
2 min readWe are running because the military will will break our doors, torture and killed us a citizen cry. Okalia Bilai’s plea in mile 17-Buea city yesterday the 15 of September 2018 ends in a fiasco while citizens continue to flee This shriek came after he cancelled travel banned by Divisional Officer and embarked on begging the population to stay while assuring them security. People are running out of Anglophone region because they have witnessed in my occasion where like for instance, one military will be killed by a person, the soldiers will not care to investigate the problem before taking action, they will just break into people’s houses, drag them out and tortured them to near death or death. It is a normal situation with Cameroon military to break citizens doors, remove and torture them to near death or to death as it was the case in the University of Buea. We therefore pleads with military to ceased from such activities.
If you are the citizen and the governor come to plead that you should stay in a war zone with well armed military guarding him, how will you see him?
Following security threat and mass exodus of citizens out of Anglophone region of Cameroon, nearest cities and bushes are becoming congested and high crime wave will soon take a different direction higher, this is because many have wandered to places without food, shelter, nor relatives there. We therefore plead with the governor to go and tell Etoudi authorities to initiate negotiations while it is early. Indications are high that this crisis may spread all over the country if concrete measures are not taken
How can you be walking with well armed guards and at the same time asking us to stay in the war zone? Where our rights are being breach as days passes and where the culprit of human rights breach are not punish accordingly.
Initiate negotiations now and save souls for the interest of the protection and respect of fundamental human rights to life
