Amidst the ongoing armed conflict in the North West and South West Regions of Cameroon, the school resumption this year has yet met with strong resistance from the Separatists armed groups (Ambazonia Fighters).

As a result of the ongoing armed conflict in the North West and South West Regions of Cameroon, the majority of children have been out of school for close to five years thereby deterring their right to education as specified in International Human Rights and Humanitarian law.

They reach out to over the following schools liongo muea, Government Primary School likoko _Bokwango and Bokwia communities. Speaking to Human Rights and Legal Research Centre, the founder and President of Core Africa, Ekole Basil reveals that the initiative is part of their back-to-school campaign which has going on. He further states that children have the right to education even in conflict situations. According to him, the parties to the conflict should find peaceful means to resolve the prolonged conflict which has caused serious and negative effects on children in the North West and South West regions and Cameroon as a whole.
