The First edition of National Public Health Symposium 2022″ scheduled for the month of October, from the 07th-08. The event is focusing on the theme “Role of Youths in Promoting Public Health in Cameroon”

This event will enhance and explore knowledge amongst medics, paramedics and youths in relation to public health and establish corporations and exchanging ideas. It aims to provide the right stage for youth to share ideas on public health issues in Cameroon through plenary sessions, discussion panels, workshops and presentations on innovative ideas of how to improve public health challenges. Prior to the event, there shall be outreach campaigns on mental health, sickle cell disease and diabetes, free HIV/AIDS screening, Malaria screening and BP test.

Our community is faced with a lot of public health challenges, for example mental health illness especially amongst youths hence having a community full of youths who are aware of the public health challenges and the role they can play will go a long way to improve public health in Cameroon. Young people do not only represent the future of our country, they are country’s main agents of change. It’s therefore important to create a platform like this national symposium where youths will be educated on how they can bring this change and progress in public health.
